In an attempt to reduce traffic in Rottingdean village, please attempt to use public transport and car share. Buses: Numbers 2, 2A, 14, 27, 47 and 712 buses stop frequently at Rottingdean. For more information visit Brighton and Hove Buses. The nearest bus stop is on the main coast road, Marine Drive, opposite the White Horse Public House at the traffic lights function that joins the High Street to Marine Drive.
Unfortunately, Rottingdean isn't serviced by the train network. However Brighton Station isn't too far away. So if you are travelling by train make your way to Brighton Station and then catch the 27 bus bound for Saltdean. See above for bus information.
Eastbound from Brighton, follow the coast road and pass the round-about at Ovingdean. Continue up and then down the hill towards the traffic lights as you pass the Rottingdean sign. Westbound, take the A259 coast road which passes through Rottingdean clearly sign posted. Alternatively from the north, take the Rottingdean B2123 junction off the A27 and follow the road all the way into the village passing through Woodingdean.
Park Road and Steyning Road has a limited number of free spaces, but these are for 2 hours only, 9am to 6pm Mon- Sat. If driving is your only option, the best parking is found at two public car parks. The first is Rottingdean West Street Car Park, which is located at Tesco Express by the traffic lights. The post code is BN2 7HP. The second is a long term car park, off the Marine Drive towards Saltdean and the East, called Rottingdean Marine Car Park. This is further away than the first. The post code is BN2 7HQ.
